Rachel is originally from Limerick and completed her undergraduate training in University College Dublin. After graduating Rachel worked in hospitals in Ireland and Sydney where she gained experience in adult medicine, focusing on aged care. After completing the Western Training Scheme in General Practice, she has continued to work in Galway. She also works regular sessions in the Galway family planning clinic.
Rachel has special interest in aged care, chronic health conditions and all aspects of womens health. She is trained in the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys hiking, travel and Munster Rugby. She has recently taken up golf!!
